Tift at Tall Stacks in Cincinnati

From the Cincinnati Enquirer, a review of Tift's show on Friday, October 6th, 2006 at the Tall Stacks Festival in Cincinnati:

Nor could the much younger crowd get enough of Tift Merritt on the Great American Stage. Armed with a guitar and sometimes a harmonica and backed by four pieces, she delivered her mostly up-tempo, countrified rock in that wonderfully throaty style her fans love so much.

She appeared to be having as good a time as the audience during a set punctuated by kabooms from the 7:45 p.m. fireworks and a blown amp. Both thrilled her: "Wow, I had fireworks and I blew an amp. My best show ever."

Fans seemed to agree.
