As far as restaurants along Colfax, there are a few great ones.  Petes Kitchen is open 24 hours, great food and people watching.  The wait is worth it. Cheap.

Enzo's Pizza has great NY style pizza...Little hole in the wall but wonderful.

Pasquinni's is a little Italian joint one block North of Colfax.  My friend Ian is the manager there, just tell him I sent you, he will hook up!

Watercourse is a great vegetarian restaurant on 17th and Clarkson. (not very close to the Bluebird, but good food.

Tommy's Thai- best Thai on Colfax

If you guys are headed downtown, my absolute favorite restaurant is Vesta Dipping Grill.  It's a bit pricey, but really worth it.

“I'm really not sure about places to stay.  I know the Monaco Inn is pretty nice, but not sure on prices.  My suggestion would be not to stay near the Bluebird, just b/c the area isn't that nice and most of the hotels are not classy.  Anywhere on 16th St Mall would be nice, and in the center of the city.”
