Tift is still #1 at Americana Music Association (they post their rankings on Tuesday). She's moved way out in front, in fact - 65 spins more than Alison and Robert Plant. Another Country has climbed to 28 at Amazon.com today (#3 in Country). At B&N, it's 20 - they don't seem to change their rankings dynamically like Amazon does. One hoopes in-store sales will push AC to the top tomorrow. I believe Tambourine and Bramble Rose have gotten a little bump, too. If yes.com is an accurate indication, those numbers will go up - even Tambourine and Good-Hearted Man are charted on a couple of stations. |

#5 in country and and #22 overall in Amazon.. and a video of a nice acoustic version of Broken!

| I didn't catch AC all the way up to #22 at Amazon, but today it's climbed to #6 at Barnes & Noble. Passed Alison and Robert. I should note that Tambourine is #6 at Amazon in "Indie Music - Country - Alt Country and Americana." |

| Another Country hit #5 on the B&N sales chart today, which puts it in the short list of B&N Current Best Sellers that displays on their Music front page. It passed Little Mermaid. |

Today AC's ranking at Amazon is: #4 Country, #18 Pop, #22 Overall. Down a bit at BN, probably because of the pitiful inventory at most of their stores. |

| While the sales rankings for the albums have started to retreat a little (29 at Amazon today, 31 at B&N), the individual chart listings on yes.com are gaining ground. "Broken" has climbed to #3 on the KNBT chart (KNBT has really been giving Tift a lot of airplay, and Broken seems to be pretty popular there). Even more exciting, "Something To Me" has hit #2 on the WDVX rotation and #4 at WUMB. Good thing Tift is still cross-listed as Americana, and good thing for Public Radio, although from the looks of its web site KNBT is a commercial station, "Voted best Americana Music Station in the United States." |

| So after 3 albums, Tift finally cracks the Billboard top 200 chart at 156. Meanwhile, Dolly Parton's new album, released the same day, comes in at 17. You'd probably have predicted such. The thing is, Another Country is outselling Backwoods Barbie on both B&N and Amazon. I guess it's all about Wal Mart, but then, isn't everything? |

| Today's rankings update has "Another Country" in First Place on the Billboard "Top Heatseekers" Chart, Tift is in first place for the fourth-straight week on the Americana Airplay Chart, and Broken has come in at #1 at KRSH and WDVX. AC took a big jump at Barnes & Noble from 53 yesterday to 34 today. On the Americana Chart, Tift is fairly blowing away the competition, with almost 100 more spins than anybody else - and presumably this does not include the numerous songs from Bramble Rose and Tambourine that are seeing airtime and even getting chart rankings on yes.com. Judging from the activity on yes.com, Tift's status at the top of the Americana charts will not be changing Monday. I think Billboard's charts come out on Wednesday. |

| Those are pretty strong numbers for Tift, maybe they can sustain at a high level for a long time. |

Tift is still #1 on the Americana Music Playlist chart, although her bullet is gone. Six weeks in a row. 61 stations playing her. Paul Thorn, "A Long Way from Tupelo," is solidly in second and gaining.
Add a #1 for Broken on KGSR, Austin. Something to Me has reached #5 at WDVX. |

| Tift slipped to #2 this week on the Americana chart. Paul Thorn, "A Long Way from Tupelo," overtook her (452-438) although Tift still leads the league in stations. Broken moved back to #1 at KGSR, and Something to Me has climbed to #3 at WUMB. |
