Oh that wouldn't go over well in our house; Andie and I are both rather proud, independent, stubborn souls--one of us would probably reply, "Well, if she asked like THAT, I'd tell her to take it out herself."

Only been into Tift since after divorce in 04, so being obsessed is not a problem for me.... helps me keep my young, free and single status intact...

I must say that if I were young free and single I would be doing my utmost to change that as quickly as possible, but that's just me. They tell you all the time you're growing up how we're all the same--the older I get, the more I say, it's amazing how different people are.

Nice work P & A, long may it continue! I ain't against being "official" again one day, but after 16 years it was time to call the whole thing off - last 3 years have been a ball! Woo-hoo-too!

Thanks for the review, glad it was a good show. I considered making the 6 hour drive from Arizona, but ended up not doing it. I don't know all of those new songs yet, but you all know I love Morning Is My Destination, glad she is playing that, maybe that bodes well for its inclusion on the record. I told Zeke in an email the places in Phoenix they should consider playing on their next tour and I sent it on to High Road Touring as he suggested, so hopefully there will be a Phoenix stop on the next tour. One of the places I recommended is the Rhythm Room and I saw Charlie Sexton there (also Shannon McNally and Kathleen Edwards) and maybe Charlie will vouch for the venue. That'll probably be the next time I get to see Tift live, sadly. Matthew

Good work Shug--the rest of us would do well to be thinking of quality venues in our locales too. That could definitely help ol' Frank Riley out. (Frank Riley is her booking agent.)

Belated contratulations. Maria and I will be celebrating the big 25 years of wedded bliss this coming November. I'm thinking having Tift play at a party for that one would be an excellent anniversary present.
