Just two days before Tift's visit to Schoolkids Records in Raleigh.  Who is planning to be there - besides me?

I'm planning to be there. Anyone else?

It's the one on Hillsborough St., right? I lived less than two blocks from it last year, so I shouldn't have any excuse not to be able to find it.

(Even though I'm not an official fan club member, may I sit at their kiddie table and pretend that I'm cool like they are?)

I'll tote the camera.  I was thinking I would minimize my photographing, although this will likely be one of the least-intrusive venues for taking pictures.

Would anyone consider doing the mack-daddy at Schoolkidz? We haven't had one since June so that would be kind of cool. If so speak up and I'll e-mail a full-color official bottle tag.

There was some trouble with the site last night for a couple of hours. Not sure what it was, but I e-mailed the people who host the site and it was back up within an hour. Whew!

If anyone has any trouble, please go to the Contacts page, where you can e-mail me. We want to make sure the site is working well, especially over the next few months.

For anyone with the ambition to "mack-daddy," please read the Fan Club page on this website, and adapt the procedure there as you see fit to the in-store solo gig scenario. If you e-mail me at preid@ec.rr.com beforehand, I can e-mail you, as an attachment for printing, a full-color official bottle tag to put on your bottle.

I too will be there, camera in hand. I will be more than happy to document any Mack Daddy goings on for the TMSTFC.

P,

I checked with Schoolkids and there is no problem with a Mack Daddy presentation so I will be bringing it.  I will email you direct so you can send me the bottle tag.  I am leaving for Raleigh about 4:00 PM.  Hopefully someone will be there to document.

I don't know if I have any.  I always free-pour.  You may have to bring them.

I'm leaving straight from work and won't have time to stop and get any. I usually use Solo cups anyway.

First-Time Visit to an ABC Store - Lessons Learned
- Alcohols are arranged by category, not alphabetically by name. With a name like ABC, you'd think...
- Alcohol is more expensive than I realized. A couple times more expensive than I guessed.
- There are three sizes of Maker's Mark available. I wasn't sure which size to get.
- My wallet decided for me. 750 mL, I believe. Next time, must stop by the bank beforehand.

Since hub is bringing, I feel a little less guilty buying the medium-sized bottle. If Walmart or some other convenient store along the way carries shot glasses, and I can find some, I'll try to pick some up. If not, well, I have plenty of plastic cups around here somewhere. Now I just have to figure out how to attach this bottle tag. And figure out how I'll recognize you guys.

750 ml is the standard size so it will be fine. Can you email the tag to me?  I'm not sure if Philip will get my request before I leave for Raleigh at 4:00.  If you can, send it to hubsm@suddenlink.net.

Well this is just all groovy. I hope you got the tag, Hub--I sent it this morning. PMC, a fifth is just dandy--no sense in getting the jug. (A "fifth" is 750 mL which is 1/5 of a gallon, hence the name.)

I love the alphabet bit.

Maker's ain't cheap, but it's a good value. It's righteous bourbon and you can pay lots more for something no better.

T is gonna love this.
