| Congrats Forrest--you scooped the CD release party show! I want this to be the biggest Teen event ever. I want Teens from all over there. Mark your calendars y'all. With red ink. |

Ack! CD release party, in the middle of the NCAA tournament, in the heart of Duke-North Carolina country?
This is obviously a plan by Tift to destroy my will to live. |

Chris, maybe that's why they picked a Durham venue. They're guessing the Dookies will have been bounced from the tournament by that point.
Sorry, Duke fans. That's just a little Tar Heel (class of '93) humor.
On a more serious note, I seem to remember Tift selling out the Cat's Cradle on both nights of the release party for Tambourine. Can/should we do anything special to ensure we don't miss out on the fun March 22? |

I just called the Carolina to inquire about tickets and they don't know about the show yet, at least the person on the phone didn't. I reckon I'll be calling them daily unless Phillip can let us know when tickets go on sale. March 22 is a long time from February 26.
Per playing during the NCAAs, I remember seeing Tift one evening during the NCAA's, I'm pretty sure it was at the Cradle, when news reached the stage that Duke had lost. Not a dry eye in the house |

This'll make me go transatlantic baby! Flights are being looked into as we speak - the Brits are on the way!
Looks like a bit of an upscale place - can we get rowdy in there?!
And what in the holy heck is an NCAA? |

I'm already hearing it from the wife, "That's Easter weekend." "I'm going to see Tift." Guess I might be doing some serious driving back and forth from here or there then.
The box office opens at 11:30 on the 14th. I've already blocked out my calendar for standing in line. Do we think Tift will get them to hold the first five rows for us? I expect a group of at least six with me. |

| I am going to have a conversation with them on Monday at the latest about that, FH. It is a very big deal to me and I want to get the jump on the 14th and do what I can for the folks. |

You're gonna have a request for a ticket from me Phillip just as soon as I confirm I can skip work for Easter, and get a cheap flight! Can't wait! |

| Update: This conversation (about ticket access) needs to happen, I've brought it up, and it will happen this week if I can possibly make it so. Please stay tuned. Everyone is just now getting back from holidays but still we need to get it discussed this week since general public sales go up on the 14th. |

Being an alum of a certain Triangle school which shall remain nameless, and which likely will not be involved in March Madness, I've already circled that date in red on my calendar.
Any word on ticket prices or online sales? I don't know if I'll be able to make it to the box office on the 14th, but I'd gladly reimburse some kind soul who picked up a ticket for me. |

The last time I remember standing in line at the Carolina was for an Alison Krauss show back in ought-one, I believe. I was second in line, and I'm fairly certain they did not sell any tickets over the phone ahead of me. They do take phone orders, though. I do not know ticket prices, but that's pretty irrelevant.
Here's my deal: My boss is leaving at the end of next week and somebody went and scheduled a luncheon for her on Monday at 11:30. I guess I'll be late for the luncheon. I will be at the Carolina Box Office when it opens. If Phillip does not come up with an alternative ticket acquisition apparatus, I will act as agent for everybody here who wants to sit up front. I get priority to my group of 5-7, and will give out the rest. If you prefer sound over up-close visuals, I'd recommend sitting further back but before you get under the balcony. I will not charge more than $100/ticket finder's fee (yuk yuk yuk).
Let's keep in touch, shall we? |

Yes let's. I am in conversation on that subject as we speak--stay tuned.
Forrest, you have a future in the music business with your finder's fees . . . . |

Andy, can't wait for you to get over here man, and to answer your question, the NCAAs is the college basketball tournament that begins every March in the States, aka March Madness. Don't worry Colt, I assume you are referring to the boys in Red and White, and, they may not look great now, but the slipper may just still fit. 8-8 in the ACC and they'll be in the tourney. I've never been to the Carolina Theater, whats it like? |
