If anyone wants to try to catch Tift's radio gig this morning, it's scheduled to be at 11 am and the radio station offers live streaming--go to www.wrsi.com and there will be a "listen live" button on the right-hand side of the page.

Are these available for listening in archive or something?  I don't have computer access on the weekends, so I missed the live streams.

Don't know Shug--you'd have to check their individual sites for that.

I'm not THAT lazy as to ask without at least trying to figure it out myself.  On second thought, I AM that lazy!

But I did check first and I couldn't find anything.  If I'm free this afternoon, I'll try the stream for today's radio show.

This one isn't live but Exit 97.7 FM Albany/Troy NY will be broadcasting a performance and interview with Tift on Monday, 1/21, at 3 p.m., so check their site and stream it!

Wooo!

'Whispering' Bob Harris comes up trumps again - Tift is in session on the legendary DJ's show in the UK on 17th April, thats 3 days after album release over here.

This is very cool news - but also a bit confusing, seeing as she's supposed to be playing the Troubadour in LA on that date as well

So who knows the answer?  Will Tift be recording the session for Bob in a flying visit to the UK
(if so, when??)
Or is she recording it for the BBC in the States?

Andy, I'm gonna say she's recording it here, since there's not really time in the schedule for her to make it to UK and back before end of April. My assumption is that the reason there are no U.S. dates after April 26 is that May, as we've all been told, is going to be UK tour. The possible hole in that theory is if she goes over there in February to record it. But that would be a lot of money when it could be done via technology.

Ta, figured that would be the case - roll on May!

(and March 22 of course!)

Since she mentioned the tune at the end of today's interview, do you think we could convince her to perform/record "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman"?

I'm with you, Mitch.  Its an obvious (almost too obvious) match, but it would be so deliciously perfect!  I'm all for it.

I got to listen to today's interview, as well.  Glad to hear the DJ singled out Charlie Sexton as one of the session guys to ask Tift about.  I knew I couldn't be the only one who thinks so highly of him.

Any way we can keep up with the radio spots Tift is going to be doing over the next few weeks?

That's a good question. Phillip, do you have the radio schedule? If so, we can track it in the Calendar. This is probably a good time to mention that the Calendar has a few nice features. With the new look (skin) for the web site, at the bottom of the Calendar you should see new options to view the events by the month, week, or to list them. Also, if you click on an an event, there is a link labeled Export Event to Desktop Event. This is used so that you can copy the event into a calendar program like Microsoft Outlook. In other words, it adds the event to your calendar so that you don't have to add it yourself. Well, at least it works with Microsoft Outlook :).

David has given us some dates for radio shows/interviews, and I'll be getting them up on the Calendar soon. The first one I wanted to let everyone know about is a phone interview on February 26th at 9am on WRAL-FM in Raleigh. I have it up on the Calendar with a link to a page where you can listen to it live over the Internet.

Any of you UK fans getting up at 4 am for this ;)?

Other way around... UK is five hours LATER than we are. So they will have Tift for Tea on Tuesday.

Hi, resident UK pedant here... not wanting to split hairs guys, but 9am Raleigh time is 2pm UK time - just in time for a late lunch with Tift ;-)
