Hi Leaving for the Phila. show at the World Cafe in about an hour and a half, and of course I'm looking forward to the show. I am not real familiar with this venue, having only been there once for a free afternoon show. I noticed on my E ticket that no cameras are allowed. Does anyone have any knowledge of how diligent they are in enforcing this rule. I would never use the flash on my digital slr, but I was wondering if it is worth while to try to sneak it in, have it in plain sight, or just have my wife have her small digital in her purse. I remember at the afternoon show I saw with the singers from the movie Once, and also with Minnie Driver, everyone was at least taking pictures with their cells, but I don't remember if anyone was using regular cameras. Any info on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

  Dave

I saw Tift at the world cafe, but used a camera only after the show.. You will find Tift very accessible to her fans and she should gladly pose for pictures after the show.. BTW they have a fairly decent menu and you can arrive early and enjoy dinner.. have fun!

Thanks Robert All I really want to do is take pictures after the show, so do they let you bring cameras in for that purpose?

If the camera is small enough, I think the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy would apply' .. discretion is the key :}

My wife and I just got back about an hour ago from the Phila. show As usual Tift was terrific. This was the first time we had seen her without the band, although I could see Zeke standing to the side of the stage enjoying the show like everyone else. We got to talk with Tift after the show and she was really sweet. They do let you bring a camera into the venue as long as you don't use it during the show. We did get our picture taken with Tift which was cool. Most of her songs were of course From Another Country, plus she also did Good Hearted Man, Virginia No One Can Warn You, plus another song that I was not familiar with. She did that song right after mentioning that she would be on Letterman backing up Emmylou Harris. I surmised that maybe it was an Emmylou song but I'm probably completely wrong. If anyone else on this site was there please help me out

Thanks for the review.. refreshing that an artist is so accessible to her fans.. I was thinking of seeing Emmylou tomorrow night in NYC at Border's but not sure
