Big.

On the brink of big things, Tift Merritt arrives this year to plug her new album, Another Country, the follow-up to her Grammy-nominated 2004 album, Tambourine. Tift is a big performer; her voice is big, her songs are big, and the sound from her backing band is big; she commands the stage with such authority you’d be forgiven for thinking she’s been at this game for decades (and that she’s got an ageing portrait of herself in her attic).

She can move from piano to guitar with equal grace, and it’s her natural confidence in her vision that has seen her rise to major recognition in recent times in the States. A lot of acts at this festival over the years went global later on - and Tift Merritt looks like boarding that rocket ship real soon.

Let's help her get that boarding pass!
