I came across this site via the Jayhawks fanpage. Gary Louris and Mark Olson also played the festival.

enjoy!

I have noticed that Tift's guitar gets more and more of the enamal worn off. How much longer can it last?

Well, Robert, we happen to be running a contest to guess that very thing--check it out here.

If you couldn't tell by the fans' attire (or by the shot of Zeke blowing on his cold hands) how crappy the weather was that day, check out this interview clip of TM — who takes the weather in stride with a smile on her face.

These Norwegian videos just rock!  Thanks so much for finding them and posting the links - great stuff!

...and here's Tift at the festival again, singing with (I presume) Norwegian band Madrugada, who she was talking about in the 'singing in the rain' interview Mitch posted above.

They're not exactly Emmylou Harris!  But I dig the slow burn of the song, and the music is very different to what Tift normally does.  Really interesting to see Tift going for this style

Edit: Link to same video on the Norwegian website (slightly higher quality picture) http://www.nrk.no/lydverket/lydverket-videoplayer/?bcpid=1378342454&bclid=1515735778&bctid=1610688958

For some strange reason, the first image that enters my brain after watching that video is the scene from "Spinal Tap" in which the dwarves start dancing around the miniature Stonehenge.

Mitch, Tift is no giant, but caling her a dwarf is just going too far!

Anyway... going back to Tift's spot at the festival, here's the set list:

1. Something to me
2. Broken
3. I know what I'm looking for now
4. Another Country
5. My heart is free
6. Hopes too high
7. Good hearted man
8. Stray Paper (with Gary Louris guesting on T's electric Fender)
9. Morning is my destination
10. Supposed to make you happy (T solo acoustic, w/Jay & Scott on harmony duties)

If nothing else, you must check out Tift's little story @ 31mins, just before Stray Paper,  about her wedding ring mishap at a Norwegian restaurant  - has a happy ending thankfully!

(She calls it a wedding ring but she must mean engagement ring, right?  Surely she hasn't got married already?! )
