Very interesting article. Tift was very moved by the performance. I hope the interview went well but knowing Tift how could it not. She never ceases to amaze me.

Oh, I saw the title of this thread and thought it was going to something else altogether, y'know... NC BBQ home-cookin' Tift-style!  No?

OK then, being serious briefly, the classical pianist that made Tift cry (in a good way!) was Simone Dinnerstien, check her out... http://www.myspace.com/simonedinnerstein
