Gus,  I like your surfing photos.  Looks like fun out there.  I wonder if Tift got any waves while she was in town.  What are the waves like in NC when there isn't a storm?  Where are the good spots?

Surf is better over at Carolina/Kure Beach. Prevailing winds will kick up a good 2-3 wave and a storm system will get it to a respectable 4-6. TS or miss by a Hurricane will get really nice waves. I surf on a sit-on-top kayak which will be fine in the smaller waves(I'm actually down on Oak Island, where it takes 4 days of SW winds to get a good surf up). I think Tift missed out on the waves as she had a full slate around the Wilmington show. Saturday was Raleigh (NC Art Museum) w/Teddy Thompson, and she was then off somewhere else. She spoke wistfully of the waves down on Carolina Beach where she lived in the 90s for awhile.

Yup...looks like you had a fun day Phillip, very busy too but I know you wouldn't have traded it for the world. That You Tube really messed with your video, I know the original looks much better but at least it's something and thank you for it.
