Tift's up for song of the year for "Broken" Thursday night at the Americana Music Association annual awards show.  She's competing with no less than Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, Levon Helms, James McMurtry, and Hayes Carll.  At least Helm and Krauss/Plant did not write the songs.
