Funny that the cultural mecca that was Tift's home town doesn't have a station that carries eTown.

Take heart if you can't find a station.  It's a near-certainty that you'll be able to listen to a podcast of the performance.

I am astonished that Raleigh does not have a local radio broadcast of E-Town.  Anyway, nothing to miss this weekend as Mitch reminded me it is the taping this weekend,  not the broadcast which usually airs several weeks thereafter.

Tune in tonight if you like, but don't expect to hear Tift.

A quick perusal of the eTown schedule shows other artists scheduled for broadcast through May 4. This is likely to mean good news for Tift, since her performance will air closer to the release date for See You On The Moon.

Note that this blogger considers Tift "a tiny gal with a big guitar."

The program will air May 26 through June 1, just in time for the See You On The Moon release.

In her nascent career, Tift Merritt has already produced an impressive body of work and earned a passionate, dedicated audience. Her live performances, both with her band and on her own, are similarly riveting.
