Your recent tour of the UK was just awesome. I had the pleasure of seeing you at Birmingham Town Hall again fronting for Mary Chapin Carpenter. The highlight for me was your duet with her singing Another Country.

Holy ***** Tift! I came to see you at Greenfield with my German Brother in Law, Adam earlier this year. Some idiot decided to have a jogging marathon around the lake on the same day of YOUR concert! Can you imagine! Well Adam just ran over them all in the Mercedes while I screamed at them to get the **** off the road. Eventually, we finally found the theatre. Thanks to Phil, we were allowed in on promoter pass, but that was after the doorman wrestled the plastic water bottle out of my hand. Dawn was great! We really loved her. Adam fell in love and I told him wait till you see Tift if you like her.
Then LO to my surprise....you came out with a new "big city" hair do, kulats instead of jeans and had shed weight on top of it all! You looked fabulous, but the reality set in quickly....Tift Merritt has gone "cosmo" on me!
And just when I thought that life couldn't dish out any more heartache, some very large girl blocked my camera shot and the sky opened up on all of us as you faded back into the set. We couldn't stay.....I was learning all kinds of new profanity from Adam.
Phil later told me the rain let up, but we were halfway to Southport by then running over a couple of more healthy joggers. I did get a couple of pictures, everyone loves you and your new album and I and my daughter up in Boston will ALWAYS do our best to promote you and your shows. You've been a good girl this year for giving us all so much to hear and see! Merry Christmas to you, Zeke and the entire band!

| 'Kay well, since this is sort of a public forum and all, I can't use my normal pirate language...suffice to say...Thank you for making an absolutely gross time in my 2010 so much less so!! Your show here in Wilmington was truly a Respite...I love your work, I love your Spirit and, well, hell...I just love you too! Merriness and joyful Christmas to you and your most groovy hubby & band! Tift,
Your music is amazing. I could listen to you sing and play endlessly. We have all of your albums, 2 posters, t-shirts, stickers, etc… This year we were fortunate enough to get to see you perform in Louisville and in Knoxville. I look forward to seeing you again soon. I hope you and Zeke (and the rest of the band) have a wonderful Christmas.
