Barley John's Brewpub is a fine place to eat/drink. Family owned joint. Owner is a dietician/brewmaster so you know the food is good. Mom bakes breads and goodies. 20 minutes or so from Cedar Cultural Center (where Tift is playing). A place that's not a chain and where you can occasionally trade your services for BEER!

Some vegetarian. Great, handcrafted food and beer. Good wine list. Flights of scotch... I could go on and on. Tiny, family run operation. I implore you to check it out. If you do, please let me know as I would love to be there.

Lodging near the Cedar is somewhat limited. There is a Holiday Inn not far from the venue. Probably not very reasonable though. There are a multitude of hotels in Minneapolis, not far from the Cedar.

I have some friends that own a resort that is 45 miles south of Minneapolis. I'm not sure of Tift's itinerary, but this would be a great place to relax for an evening...

I am not sure about pricing, but I do know if you mention my name, they will give you a discount. Just an idea. The cabins are pretty cool.
