I was at a local Film and Music Festival yesterday and a local radio station, KFAI in Minneapolis/St. Paul, was one of the sponsors. The woman I talked to had never heard of Tift so I filled her in and asked her if she thought Tift would fit in the stations format and she said "YES"!! She asked me if Tift ever played in the Twin Cities and I said yes and that Tift may be back sometime in November. She then asked me if it might be possible for Tift to come into the studio for an interview and maybe play a song or two when she was in town, I said "all I can do is ask".
So, the crux of this story is that if anyone goes to any of the many festivals around the country that is sponsored by a radio station please talk to them about Tift and her music, you never know, they may be very interested in what you have to say about Tift, I know KFAI was. Also, bring along a picture and a couple of cd's so you have something to show them, that REALLY helps.
I only wish Tift could have been there, she would have "BLOWN PEOPLE AWAY"  |
