I hope you fans in the Big Apple will have fun! Please check in with post-show reports.

(And the keeper of the 96-proof bootleg section is salivating at the prospect of some new Tift tunes any of you NYC tapers might capture.)

Late breaking news for tonight's free show....

"R2R Venue change: due to the threat of inclement weather tonight's show has been moved to Stuyvesant High School @ 345 Chambers St @7pm"

While I'm sweltering in a mini UK heatwave don't tell me you New Yorkers are afraid of a little bit of rain?

Andy,

I'll bet Tift would be happy to see this use of the main photo from the tm.net page.

And speaking of photos, here's a nice one.

Stray Paper - acoustic
Broken - acoustic
I Know What I'm Looking For Now - piano
Another Country - piano
Keep You Happy - acoustic
Supposed To Make You Happy - acoustic, unamplified
The Summer Kurt Cobain Died - new song, electric
Good Hearted Man - piano
Tender Branch - piano
Something To Me - acoustic

encore:
Virginia, No One Can Warn You - acoustic
Still Pretending - piano
See You On The Moon - new song, acoustic

Chris, thanks for the set list. That's great!

Meanwhile, another concert attendee believes "Tift Merritt is the future of American pop music."

Good going Chris, cheers.

And good going Tift... FOUR NEW SONGS!? Wow!

Sounds to me like the new album's well on the way to being written. Yes!
